K-12 Usa Bloggers

I finally found a websit here in the USA that uses blogging in schools. This is a school in Tampa, Florida. Thos is the 5th grade class. This web page has alot of interesting things. The survey polls are fun to me I entered on one of them. It has a link were you can get the page in spanish and it has educational games. I thought that the Scholastic News Page was neat to. It also had info about the shools annual trip to Tallahassee. I think this bloggers page was well done (A+) for this grade level.

Blog Summary

Blogging to me has been a very new experience. I have learned how to do a number of things such as hyperlinks in a sentence. I always knew that it could be done, however I never thought I would be the one doing it. I am not to socialable about people knowing me, and my whole name and etc, but since it's for a grade, I know I'll have to do it.I think it is neat to be able to do things that can be done, however I am worried about my idenity being stolen, or even someone using my name. To be honest yes this is my only concern. If I could have done this with my real-whole name and picture on the internet I would have no problem. It is an learning experience that I am pretty sure I won't forget. I dont know to much about facebook and myspace but that is because I am constently hearing bad things about them, even on the news and this kinda reminds me of them.
I think school wise, blogging may be a good thing if it related to research or teachers getting to know each other and sharing ideas and etc. to be utilized in the classroom. Since technology is being improved every single day, I think it would be great for the students to explore and reasearch as well. Again I would incorporate bloggin, but I would code names and it would for research issues only. I know I may sound like an "old head" but I have had my identity stolen and I just would rather be safe than sorry.
